Quartz worktops are essentially engineered stone comprising of mostly quartz with resins and additives to give its colour and patterning. Quartz is one of the hardest materials known to man which makes it very resistant to scratching, staining and dirt. It is non porous so does not harbour bacteria making it very hygenic, perfect for the kitchen!
